Starting a Meeting
Find a place to hold a meeting. Some groups prefer to hold meetings where other recovery groups have their meetings already. Other groups prefer to hold meetings at local kink-friendly locations to protect anonymity. If you don't know of any locations in your area that might be suitable, you can always hold a meeting at a private home.
We support both hybrid and virtual meetings. If you are interested in running a hybrid or virtual meeting General Services (GS) RitL Steering Committee is may be able to accommodate your need for zoom hosting space. We encourage you to look through our existing virtual meetings. We are unable to host, on our Zoom account, more than one meeting at a time.
RitL makes a concerted effort to provide support when we can to our meeting hosts and facilitators. Our hosts and facilitators are volunteers who are individuals in recovery feeling called to service. GS RitL Steering Committee encourages our hosts to connect with each other when looking for coverage for Virtual Meetings. Due to the various geogrpahical locations of our hosts and members we are unable to provide guaranteed additional support for our physical meetings. We can make introductions to other existing members when we are able to.
RitL literature is available on our website to download in .pdf format from our Documents page. This includes our 12 steps & 12 traditions, sample meeting formats, the preamble, flyers, and more.
We strive to list all RitL meetings on our website. When you have a time, date, and location, please contact us so that we can help carry the message.
